The word OBAKU originates from Japanese Zen Buddhism, which symbolizes the brand’s design concept and upholds the Zen attitude of paying attention to the operation of all things in the universe and seeking eternal truth. Therefore, as long as everything in daily life is observed through introspection, such as graceful curves, ripples blown by the wind and the rustle of swaying grass blades, they are all sources of inspiration for design. This is also consistent with the Nordic designers’ love of using natural materials. It coincides with the simple philosophy of life.
